Lichnos Beach – Turquoise Bay near Parga
Lichnos Beach lies a short drive southeast of Parga and is famous for its turquoise, crystal-clear waters and soft sandy shoreline framed by green hills. The wide bay offers a relaxed vibe with plenty of space for swimming and sunbathing throughout the day.
The beach is well organized in season, with sunbeds and umbrellas, showers, and several beachfront tavernas and cafés for meals and refreshments. Water sports are available, including kayaking and paddleboards, and the rocky edges of the bay provide great spots for snorkeling.
Access is easy by car via the coastal road, with parking areas close to the beach. Lichnos can also be reached by boat or water-taxi from Parga when the sea is calm. Early morning and late afternoon are the most photogenic times, with soft light over the Ionian Sea.
Adventurous visitors can paddle or take a short boat ride to small sea caves near the headlands, while families appreciate the gently shelving entry and generally calm conditions. Combine Lichnos with a stop at Valtos or Sarakiniko, or plan a nature day at the Acheron River for variety during your stay in the Parga region.
